With a view to enrich the smartphone market segment, Acer has so far launched handsets like the Liquid A1, Liquid e and more. To extend its product portfolio, the company recently announced the release of a new smartphone dubbed Liquid Metal for Indian consumers.
The Acer Liquid Metal is powered by Google’s Android 2.2 or Froyo OS and runs on the 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon core processor to deliver better performance. Sporting a curved back design, the handset is crafted with stainless steel touches, while the chrome trims lends it an elegant look. It encompasses a 3.6” 480 x 800p resolution TFT capacitive touchscreen display for improved multi-touch control. This mobile phone will be seen adorning store racks in silver, brown and tiffany blue shades.

The Liquid Metal integrates a 5MP AF and LED flash-enabled camera with a variety of photography support features like geotagging, face detection, smile detection and image stabilization. Along with incorporating pinch to zoom functionality, the camera lets users record 720p HD videos. The numerous connectivity features offered by the phone are Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP, HSPA 14.4 MB/s, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, GPS, miniUSB and more.
The handset provides three keypad layouts with XT9 predictive text support for quick input. It includes a host of other appealing attributes such as Dolby Surround technology, top LED indicator, memory expandable up to 32GB and EQ profiles amongst others. Acer Liquid Metal’s 1500mAh battery ensures a talk time of around 8 hours and standby time of approximately 550 hours. This device features Acers’ new Breeze interface for managing applications efficiently and providing and intuitive navigation.
