Acer Launches Liquid Mini Android Smartphone

Acer has added another smartphone to its range of handsets in India by introducing the Liquid Mini. Supposed to be the successor to the Liquid Metal, this smartphone aka E310 .

Acer Liquid Mini features a 3.2 inch HVGA touchscreen display with 480 x 320 pixels resolution, 5 Mega pixel camera with auto focus, 480p video recording, digital zoom, FM Radio, WiFi, GPRS and 3G.It supports up to 32GB external memory through microSD card slot. Android 2.2 (FroYo) OS, 600 MHz Qualcomm 7227 processor, HSDPA support and DLNA connectivity.

The new Acer Liquid Mini smartphone with Android Froyo 2.2 features new home screen design version that now handles five home screens by default, allowing users to easily install more applications from the rich selection available on the Android Market, as well as shortcuts and widgets.

Acer Liquid Mini (E310) Smartphone is powered by 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 Snapdragon Processor with Adreno 200 graphics chipset and comes with 512 MB RAM and 512 MB FLASH ROM with added support for microSD memory card allowing upto 32-GB storage. In addition, the handset features a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor and an accelerometer for auto-rotation.

Powered by 600 MHz Smapdragon processor, the Acer LIQUID Mini smartphone provides instant access to web pages, smooth streaming of videos or music, and instant response from popular mail, maps and search applications. The handset?s high-speed processing capability and high-speed internet access (HSPA) of Snapdragon brings to life the Google?s Android experience. And as in Google Android based handsets, the Liquid ?e? also features four buttons on the front offering functions such as Send, End, Back and Home.

Sony Ericsson X10 Mini Pro successor spotted as SK17i, sports Gingerbread

Looking for your fibrous dose of gadget leak? Look no further than China which has, again and again, outed several spy shots of what appears to be the Xperia X10 Mini Pro's successor. Dubbed the SK17i and codenamed "Mango," this time we're looking at some proof of Android 2.3 on this little Sony Ericsson slider, along with a homescreen UI not dissimilar to that of the X10 Mini and X8 series. Other than that, we're not seeing anything new here, though we can't help but wonder if the unused Xperia Duo trademark has finally found its rightful owner -- you know, maybe Duo as in a two-part slider phone? As always, only time will tell.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA mini2 leaks, wearing a nice white dress

We've just got a live photo of a yet unannounced Android-running Sony Ericsson handset. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA mini2 comes to succeed the most compact droid in the company portfolio and it will obviously be available in a pretty white outfit.

Now we didn't get any specs along with this leak, but it seems safe to suggest that the Sony Ericsson XPERIA mini2 will be identical to the XPERIA mini pro2, but for the keyboard. This means a 3" HVGA screen and some pretty powerful processing unit under the hood. The Android 2.3 Gingerbread is what this little fella is going to be running at launch.

The CPU ticking will most likely be a 1GHz Snapdragon, while the GPU should be Adreno 205. Those specs are shared with the far more expensive Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play, Neo and Pro trio so they should be able to make a mid-range device like the XPERIA mini2 a real hit.

Of course, neither target availability nor pricing specifics are known at this stage.
