Samsung Corby II

Sporting a flamboyant look, Samsung’s original Corby touchscreen handset may have been a huge hit among consumers. This is probably why Samsung has announced a new Corby II handset.

As an extension of its snazzy predecessor, the Samsung Corby II will be seen sporting colorful shell designs including candy pink, white and carnival yellow tinges. According to the official Samsung Electronics Taiwan page, it shows off a thin 11.7mm profile along with a 3.1” QVGA TFT touchscreen display.

With the integrated Social Hub feature and preloaded Facebook and Twitter apps, users can keep a close tab on their ever increasing social networking needs. Several connectivity options offered by the handset include Bluetooth 3.0, Wi Fi 802.11b/g/n, USB 2.0 as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It incorporates interesting value added attributes like Exchange ActiveSync, TouchWiz, t9 QuickType input capability and support for IM services like Gtalk, Facebook Chat and Yahoo Messenger. This device comes equipped with a microSD card slot which is expandable by up to 16GB. The phone is powered by a 1000mAh battery that ensures talk time of about 9.5 hours and standby time of up to 620 hours.

The Samsung Corby II is slated for a late March distribution first in Germany followed by Europe, Latin America, India, Asia, China, Middle East and Africa and CIS.
